Bittersweet...

So, as you can all see, neither Shelley or myself have posted anything in quite a long time... life hs been busy for all of us... mainly myself, I took a job offshore and haven't seen Switch, (Matthew, Matt, Chase, or whatever you choose to call him, but he's Matthew or Switch to me!) in a very long time, almost 3 months come next week. Oh well, that's life, as far as I know he's doing alright? Don't hear from his mom much, we aren't together and never will be in that way, but we will hopefully one day at least be civil? Well that's all I can say for now, if anyone hears from her about Switch, let me know how he's doing please...

We started Chase on a sippie cup today. He has to get use to the heavier flow, but he has done pretty good on it o far. He rolled from his back to his stomach for the first time last week. I got it on video & posted it on youtube. Here is the direct link:

We hope everyone is doing well. We love & miss you all.

Few pictures

Switch is getting sooooo big!! He is 5 months & 2 days old and is learning more and more things everyday. He recognizes his name when you call him & he knows who to look at when you ask him "where's Moma" & "where's Pawpaw". We are working on the rest of the family members...lol. Pawpaw is gone on a business trip so I wanted to upload a few pictures for him to see. Hope everyone is doing well. I will post more when I have it :)

Busy.....

I just got back to the house after a week long visit in Baton Rouge. Switch had a good time visiting everyone. Blake took us to visit with his Mamaw & Papaw on Saturday. On Sunday, we all went to church and then we drove to see Papa Jack and Mimi Mel (Blake's Dad and his fiance). It was their first time to visit with Switch and I am so happy it finally got to happen. He had a good time talking to Mimi Mel for almost an hour (the most babbeling he has ever done) and floating around in the pool. I have pictures to post and videos to share on youtube, but I am so very tired. It took over 12 hours to get home today because Switch and I took a side trip to Greenwood. He got to visit with Marcy, Jason, & Big Lance (my friends from MDCC). He also got to visit with his Aunt Tara this morning and was able to give her a gift for Braxton (Tara & Jeremy's 2nd due in Aug). Just wanted to make a quick post to let everyone know what we have been up to. I will post more tomorrow after I get some sleep. Love to all!!!

9:00 pm, bedtimemidnight, time for medicine6:00 am, medicine time
Switch has this funny little thing he does when he sleeps. He starts out with his head at the head of the crib and progressively, through the night, he wiggles his way down with his head at the foot of the bed. It's pretty cute so I had t post some pics :) Love to all....and yes, he does sleep through the night!!!

Messy dinner

Just wanted to post some pictures from Switch's dinner tonight. He did very well with his veggies today. I couldn't get him to eat any vegetables yesterday, but he had a whole jar of sweet potatoes and carrots today. He did have some prunes yesterday which made for a big smelly poopie mess today..haha!! I even gave him a little vanilla pudding treat for eating so well today (just 4 small spoon fulls...and he got MAD when I took it away). Until next time...love to all :)

Bananas & Carrots & Pears....OH MY

Switch is doing so good without his tube! He took to a bottle like he had been taking one since the day he was born. I gave him a few days on just the bottle before adding cereal and I started it slowly. Two weeks later he is eating some baby food! I have some videos to post on YouTube when I get a chance. He loves carrots, bananas, pears, peaches, apple sauce, and sweet potatoes, but HATES peas and squash. Of course he likes the sweet stuff, but I tried dipping the spoon full of squash in the bananas and it tricked him long enough to get half of the jar of squash down...until he figured it out. We'll try peas and squash again later. I bought him a little swimming pool and a float for the big swimming pool and he loves them both. We were in GA this weekend for a funeral and decided to go for a swim. I have videos of those to post as well....when I get a chance :) I have plenty of time, but it takes forever for a video to download. Switch now weighs 10lbs 8oz and is 21 3/4 inches long. He is still under weight, but now that he is taking a bottle he should plump up pretty fast. The doctor still has me adding calories to his feedings, but he spits up when I give him the 27 cal formula, which to me seems useless!!! He is waking up from a nap so I am going to wrap this up. Love to all!!!
