Rough start... strong finish!

Matthew was born Febuary 26, 2009. He weighed a whopping 6 lbs. 3 oz and stands(lays) at 20 1/2 in. He was born with a congenital heart defect known as TGA (Transposition of the Great Arteries) and has since had the corrective surgery and is doing great. His proud parents are, mom Michelle and dad Blake. He's all we could ever ask for and more! Although he's had a traumatic time so far, the days and weeks, and months ahead will be nothing short of the greatest life filled with love and laughter, while being surrounded with family and friends, which he can't wait to meet! We are so thankful and blessed to have our little man and also all the love and support from eveyone along this difficult and hopeful road. God has been so good to us and we thank Him in all of his miraculous works. We will keep everyone updated as Matthew or as we like to call him, "Switch" progresses. We also look forward to all of your posts and comments, and again, thanks to all of you for your continuous love, prayers, and support. May God bless all of you. Until next time, that's all for "Life with Switch"... =)

P.S.- We owe a very special thank you to the one and only Dr. Kanter and the entire CICU nursing staff at Children's at Egleston, Atlanta, GA. because without all of you, our son's life wouldn't be possible. We will never forget all of you, and Matthew will come to visit every year! =)

Happily,
Shelley and Blake
