Best Week Ever

Today has been very uneventful and I am not complaining. Switch is a week old today...YAY!! He was supposed to get his chest stiched up today, but he was still a little swollen. He has more assistance with the ventilator and sleeping meds than I would like, but if he needs it to heal then fine. The nurses say that everything is still looking good and all the extras are "just in case" he needs them. Doesn't reassure me that everything is great, but I don't think they would be with holding information from us at this point.
Blake has written the last couple of blogs and was very honest about MOST of what happened after the baby's surgery. He left out the fact that Daddy PASSED OUT when seeing his sons chest wide open. It was disturbing to me as well, at first, but then I realized that there are very few people that get to see their child's heart beating inside their body and the best thing is that it was working! Things have been good ever since and everyone has been able to stay on their own two feet :)
This blog is short and I just wanted to post some pictures of our baby boy after the surgery. Hopefully they are not so graphic for you. It's tough to look at, but amazing that God has given someone the ability to perform this procedure. We are quite tankful to so many especiall Him! Thanks again for the continued love, support and prayers. We love you all and hope to see you soon.
Happily
Shelley and Blake
